As one of the oldest American schools in the Middle East and Africa, Schutz American School boasts a rich history of providing exceptional education. While we maintain a smaller class size, we have high expectations for both students and teachers.

Qualifications:

Teaching license or certification
Minimum of three years of full-time classroom teaching experience, preferably with three to five years of international teaching experience
BA/BSC or equivalent university degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Subject area degree and/or educational master’s degree or a commitment to pursuing further education
Advanced Placement (AP) experience for specified high school positions
Inquiry-based, constructivist approach to learning and teaching
Integration of technology into curriculum
Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
Experience with standards-based curriculum mapping
